Champathon

An aspect that almost every resident of Huntingdon county loves is the strong sense of a tight-knit community. Champathon is an event that enables that and brings everyone together from the 4 towns to help those in need. 

Champ is a 12 hour dance marathon that raises money for childeren with cancer or serious illnesses' and families in need of financial aid. Champathon concludes of dancing, games, competitions, good food and lot's of caffeine. Every year a new goal is set for the amount raised as well as the the competing of schools individually for The Champ Cup. 

Champ started in 2013 at Huntingdon Area High school and raised a total of about $25,000. The next year it made $43,000. This year Champ was moved to Mount Union Area High School and reached a total of $46,000, all of which go straight to families in our own community!
