Located along side the Juniata River on Route 22, sits old Diner 22. Unique from other diners, Diner 22 was originally constructed as a railroad eatery, and traveled on the East Broad Top Railroad. After its run, the diner was placed in Huntingdon and then in Smithfield. The owner then decided to move it again to a spot on Route 22. However, the building began to come loose from the truck, so the owner decided to plop it down right there, its now current location. The diner has been in operation for over 68 years, but family owned for 44 years. Next time you are traveling on Route 22, stop in for friends, a home cooked meal, and laughter!
