Raystown Lake is one of the most popular, and beautiful locations found in Huntingdon County. Raystown Lake offers many locations for swimming, picnicking, and boating. Whether you're a camper, a fisherman, a boat owner, or a swimmer, Raystown Lake is meant for you. Part of a town called Aitch is now completely submerged in the lake, and it is rumored that towns and bodies of people who refused to leave are still submerged under the water. Scuba diving is allowed on the lake so you can explore for yourself. One of the other attractions Raystown Lake has is the legendary Raystown Ray. The Raystown Ray is a Loch Ness Monster type of thing that has been claimed to exist. It is such a well known belief that a popular television program came and filmed an episode on Raystown Lake searching for the monster. Whether you are a swimmer, a treasure hunter, or even searching for the Raystown Ray, you are welcome and encouraged to visit
Huntingdon County's Raystown Lake.
